"I reserved my table via TheFork. The atmosphere was very nice and cozy but the restaurant was a bit crowded. The staff was very quick and friendly. The food was delicious. The menu offered many flavorful local dishes. Highly recommended for a family dinner."

"Everything we had was just perfect. I had the Lievitum Mater pizza — basically a Bufalina with fresh buffalo mozzarella added after baking — light, creamy, and full of flavor. Also tried the Diavola and Francescana, both amazing. We shared quite a few things: Malafemmena, Mortazza, Porcini, Panino Chicken, and the Insalata Campana — all spot on. Great drinks too. Super enjoyable dinner, would gladly come back."

Music Music was well chosen — subtle yet present, enhancing rather than overpowering the space. It added to the mood without intruding on conversation. The selections felt curated and in tune with the vibe of the venue. Food The menu at Lievitum Mater offers an inspired take on regional flavors. Each dish I tried was thoughtfully composed, fresh, and beautifully plated. The ingredients felt high quality, and I appreciated the care in seasoning and presentation. We tried an array of items to include the Pizza with the white sauce and the freshest salad with secret ingredients that made it a meal never to forget. Perfecto! Service & Experience The staff were friendly, attentive, and unobtrusive — They made helpful suggestions and seemed passionate about the menu. "Wonderful atmosphere and the best pizza in Assisi and Perugia. My wife had their gluten free version and she enjoyed it greatly. We will go back. The pizza style is Neapolitan done by a Neapolitan!"

"Best Pizza we've ever had! We opened the evening with fried pizza, had never had this before and it blew us away. We then ordered the franciscan and the parnesan, they were both incredible! We had all these with a wine named talo negromaro, incredible wine specially with the bread of the pizza. To end it all we had the Nutella pizza and a capuchino, also incredible! We booked 2 weeks in advance to have dinner here. Totally worth it!"

"One of the best Pizzas i ever had, we didn't even bother to find another place to eat the next day, we just came there again because it was sooooooo good, i couldn't finish my pizza so i took the rest home and had the best breakfast ever it was even perfect the next morning. The little Garden is so cute and it is just such a great Atmosphere! The service was perfect, our Waiter was very very friendly! I can't imagine that we could have found a better place to eat anywhere in Assisi, between all the touristy places, this one stands out and is just an amazing restaurant! Thank you very much"

"Fantastic pizza, so good i ate the leftovers a day later and still delicious! Delicious crispy crust, very fresh and tasty sauce- i ate too much. My only complaint is that there isnt much salad on the menu- its pizza! I also had a baba which was light and soaked in liquor. Service was good too. Possibly the best pizza in Assisi."
